Wake Up, O Sleepers, WAKE UP!!!
It's time for the Church to stand up! We are the body of Christ, made for action, not for sleeping. It's time to live lives of love & conviction. It's time to bring justice to this broken & evil world.
Millions of people, even children are being forced to kill, prostitute themselves and/or labor all day, everyday for nothing in the global slave trade.
50,000,000 babies in America have been aborted (FIFTY-MILLION! can you even fathom that?!) and the number grows by more than 3000 everyday! Over 1 billion abortions have taken place worldwide!
There are approx.12 suicides by youth everyday(in the US alone) & it is estimated that for each suicide there are at least another 100 attempts. That's over 1,200 a day!
Millions of people are abandoned, abused, alone, beaten, confused, deceived, depressed, dirty, dying of preventable diseases, falsely imprisoned, hungry, impoverished, lost, malnourished, molested, oppressed, orphaned, widowed, without clean water, etc., etc., etc.!
They need Jesus. They need us. They need YOU!
What are we doing? What are YOU doing?
Let's take a stand & speak out. We are the Body of Christ, let's put His love into action, being His hands & feet. Let's not sit by watching, thinking there's nothing we can do.
Remember, greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world. We can overcome, we are more than conquerors in Christ!
What passion is God putting on your heart? Who is He calling you to stand up & fight for? It may cost you everything, but it's worth it.
I want to stop living for myself, it's time to live whole-heartedly for Christ, it's time to put others before myself and it's time to put my money & my time where my mouth is. Will you join me?
Search out God’s heart and His commands in His Word… What does He say?
Micah 6:8 "He has told you, O man, what is good; and what does the LORD require of you but to do justice, and to love kindness, and to walk humbly with your God."
James 1:27 "Pure and genuine religion in the sight of God the Father means caring for orphans and widows in their distress and refusing to let the world corrupt you."
Romans 12:1&2 "I appeal to you therefore, brothers, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which is your spiritual worship. Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect."
Check out Isaiah 58 & Matthew 19:16-26!
I'm not telling you to sell everything you have, but would you if Jesus asked you to?
Jesus, I give You my life, everything I have is Yours. I am Yours. Your kingdom come, Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven! Have Your way in me!
I challenge you to not only advocate & fight for justice on your blog, Facebook, etc, but at your schools, jobs, neighborhoods & wherever else you find yourself.
Give to organizations that are fighting injustice.
Live lives of justice both locally & globally.
Seek God, Let Him lead you!

What can I do?
Hey everyone. Hope you're all well, but even more, I hope you're all awake and watchful!
Do any of you know someone who is lost, someone who doesn't know Jesus and His love and forgiveness? Someone who will most likely go to hell and not heaven when they die if something doesn't change? Well, what are you doing about it? What can you do?
1. Pray. Pray that the Holy Spirit opens/softens their hearts. Pray that they are humbled and see their need for a Savior. Pray that God will give you opportunities to love them and share Truth with them.
2. Stop ignoring them. What do I mean here? Well, they are heading to a place that God wants no man to go. Don't be indifferent to this. This should burden your heart and what do we do with our burdens? We bring them to Jesus, so now's a good time to repeat step one...
3. Stop living like Jesus is only your Savior. He's also your Lord! You are the servant. Not visa-versa. Let His Holy Spirit fill you to overflowing. Let His fruit naturally come forth as you obey and surrender to Him. Then you're light will shine brightly to help those in the dark. Your life will be salty and those who are hungry and thirsty will be even more aware of their need for water that will cause them to never thirst again. To be wholly surrendered in this way is going to take a serious connection with Jesus, so let's go back to step one again...
4. Love and include them in your life. If they don't know Jesus yet... so what, don't you still love them? You don't have to judge them and try to clean them up, leave that work to Jesus. When you hang out with someone with different values than you, you risk taking on their habits and sin. Don't. Let's refer one last time to point one... pray. Pray that God gives you His heart, love, wisdom. Pray that He protects you as you live boldly for Him.
p.s. When you pray, God is listening. And anything that you pray for that is in accordance with His will will come to pass. Does God want to save your friend? Yes, He wants none to parish. Does God want you to have a burden for the lost. Yes, Jesus came to seek and save those who were lost. Does Jesus want you to live, knowing and living like He's your Savior. Yes. Does He want you to love with His love, even if they are sinners? Yes. Jesus came for the sick and ate with tax collectors and sinners.
So pray and pray with confidence, hope and expectation. Pray and watch lives change around you, watch your life change. And when you see these changes, praise God and tell others what you see Him doing!
We shall overcome by the blood of the Lamb and the word of our testimony!!!

Here We Go...
ok... so I have made a "cause" on Facebook Causes... (http://www.causes.com/causes/539553-wake-up-o-sleepers-wake-up#) I think it's important, but I'm not sure it's necessarily a cause, but really a call to live as true followers of Christ. That takes on all sorts of shapes to be sure, but I have a passion to call people to real obedience. Especially as I find myself sometimes waning... so here is attempt to to encourage, challenge and exhort the body of Christ to live fully as Jesus intends for them. As you may note from the blog title, I am referencing Micah 6:8. God has shown us what is good and what He requires of us... To do justice, to love kindness and to walk humbly with Him. Help us Lord to make these three things a priority in our lives!!!
